We had fun celebrating Tucker's first year and look forward to experiencing many more. Tucker, we love you so much!! Happy 1st Birthday!!
Just some updates on what Tucker is up to. Not walking yet, but we are so okay with this. He is already into everything and as fast as lightning, so he is a handful to keep up with just crawling!! As I mentioned, he is in to everything!!! We finally had to purchase a new trashcan with a lid because he was standing up next to our old one (that had no lid) and pulling the trash out. I even found him about to eat a piece of bread crust that came out of the trash, so that was my cue that we needed one with a lid!! He loves, loves to hear the sound of his voice. We have found him squealing, hollering and just making as many noises as loud as he can lately. We are trying to work on his "quiet voice" but you know how that goes with a 1-year old!!! He still is hanging with just the four teeth, two on bottom and two on top. He started a new daycare this year when I went back to work, The Learning Treehouse - he has adjusted so great and just loves his teachers. They are doing a lot of educational things with his class; they sing, work on labeling objects and even use some sign language. He is really learning a lot. As far as eating . . . He no longer drinks from a bottle - sippie cups only. Transitioning from his bottle to a sippie cup was so easy, but I am afraid that the pacifier will be much harder. He is still very much attached to his pappy and likes to have it at naptime, bedtime and some in between - we'll work on that habit later!! He is eating more and more table food, but still eats his jar of baby food too. Starting him on table food has been a bit of a struggle, but we are working on it. I think that he is going to be a starch baby. He loves crackers, cereal, bread, breakfast bars, and anything in that family. As I mentioned, we are working to introduce new foods to him all the time, but he has a bit of a stubborn side about eating!!! Sometimes, he will not even taste the food in his mouth, he just automatically sticks his tongue out and spits the food out. He is funny!! As usual, Tucker is such a loving baby - he loves to snuggle and cuddle and give sweet, sweet sugars. He is fun and we love him!! Next week we go to see Dr. Hobby for his 12 month checkup and shots - yikes :( I am not looking forward to that visit, but I will update his 12 month stats after the visit.
